Our Criteria
If you are an early stage South African business which has developed products for a definite growing market, we want to hear about it.
If you are interested in applying for venture capital from HBD Fund2, you will need to ensure that your business meets the following criteria:
- Revenue has been generated for the past six months
- Management team based in SA
- Equity based funding is required
- R10 million to R25 million in funding is required
- Sufficient barriers to entry
- Potential for high growth
In terms of industries, the following are excluded:
- Agriculture
- Armaments
- Finance (eg. fund of funds)
- Gambling
- Insurance
- Mining
- Morally objectionable
- Real Estate
- Tobacco
