At HBD Venture Capital we take our name, and our philosophy, from 'Here be Dragons'. A South African company, founded by Mark Shuttleworth in 2000, HBD invests in early stage South African companies with high growth potential. Through board representation, HBD provides strategic direction to ultimately grow our investments to profitable exit. HBD Fund2 was launched in 2006, with the aim of making eight investments ranging from R10-million to R25-million per investment. |
